Normally, I am anxious to pull up the photos from my sessions but tonight, I was nervous.
Let me back up the story by saying, my camera died today. I have no idea what happend. It was acting strange yesterday but I was able to get it to work. Today, nothing would work. So, I just got out my back up camera and figured I would use that for awhile. I got over the the studio and realized, my back up camera doesn’t work with my lights..oops and I had a session in 10 minutes. So, I had my husband go borrow a camera from a friend, only to find out that one didn’t work either. I was in a major pickle.
Canon came out with a new camera a few weeks ago and I had been toying with the idea of getting it. I actually had it ordered on line but it was back ordered. So, I called everywhere around here and of course, no one had it in stock. So, I just went out to best buy to see what I could find. OH MY GOSH, there it was in the case a brand new Canon 40D..THE camera I wanted. So, I asked if they could sell me the display one. I begged and pleaded and the manager said yes. Thank you Best Buy…… OK, this was all at about 3pm and I had a session at 5:30. There is a bit of learning curve and it takes awhile to get the settings the way you like them but I just did the best I could.
I came home and was nervous to pull the photos up on the computer because I could not tell if I was getting sharp images.
Well, I think I am in love. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new camera. There were so many great images. I know I still have a bit of learning to do but…so far, I think we are going to be good friends.
It helps that this girl is just so beautiful! She has perfect skin, beautiful eyes and is just beautiful. Her dad came along was just a total goof and got her laughing so hard. I love this first laughing photo….
So…that is my update for tonight. My afternoon session was so understanding. I am hoping to squeeze her in later this week. Thank you so much for understanding. I feel so bad that you came all the way her only to have to re-schedule!!!
